A Bioclimatic building in Al Nakheel royal palace in Abu Dhabi, that is dedicated for the display and training of Falcons, the national emblem of the UAE.
The construction has been designed to self-regulate its indoor temperature naturally through bioclimatic systems that are part of the architecture itself. They help release excess heat, and cool down the building reducing drastically the need for high energy consuming air-conditioning systems.
Falcons have played a crucial role in the traditional culture of the United Arab Emirates for centuries, particularly in the hunting practices of Bedouin hunters. Falcons are considered one of the most important animals in the country due to their historical significance.
One of the unique hunting techniques that sets falcons apart from other predatory animals is that they can be trained to capture their prey without killing it first. This is particularly important in Islamic culture, where animals that are intended for food must be alive when their throats are cut and blood is drawn, in order to ensure that the meat is halal.
​Falconry is a widely popular sport in the UAE, enjoyed by both ordinary citizens and high-ranking members of society. It is typically practiced in desert and semi-desert areas throughout the region.

DESCRIPTION
Un bâtiment situé dans le palais royal Al Nakheel à Abu Dhabi est dédié à l'exposition et à l'entraînement des faucons, emblème national des Émirats Arabes Unis.
La construction a été conçue de facon à auto-réguler naturellement sa propre température intérieure grâce à des systèmes bioclimatiques intégrés à l'architecture même du bâtiment. Ces systèmes aident à évacuer l'excès de chaleur et à refroidir le bâtiment, réduisant ainsi considérablement le recours a des systèmes de climatisation artificiels et énergivores.
les faucons ont joué un rôle crucial dans la culture traditionnelle des Émirats Arabes Unis. Leur utilisation par les chasseurs bédouins remonte à plusieurs centaines d'années, ce qui fait du faucon l'un des animaux les plus importants du pays.
L'une des techniques de chasse qui les distingue des autres animaux prédateurs est qu'ils peuvent être dressés pour livrer leur proie sans la tuer d'abord. Cela est vital car, dans l'islam, les animaux destinés à la consommation doivent encore être vivants lorsque leur gorge est coupée et que le sang est tiré, afin de s'assurer que la viande est halal.
La fauconnerie est un sport populaire aux Émirats Arabes Unis, apprécié à la fois par les citoyens ordinaires et les membres les plus hauts placés de la société. Elle est généralement pratiquée dans les déserts et les semi-déserts de la région.
