DESCRIPTION :

Two bioclimatic houses are situated on a steep, north-facing plot of 5,800 square meters. The design prioritizes the full integration of the habitat into its environment by burying it on three sides, allowing it to blend into the agricultural terraces of the hill.
​Taking inspiration from the primary homes of troglodytes, the architecture seamlessly melds with the mountainous landscape of Bekaatat Kanaan, following the natural terrace rhythms present on the site, and ensuring complete respect for the surrounding nature.
The exterior facades feature large windows oriented toward the south, maximizing the penetration of sunlight in winter and promoting fresh air circulation in summer. Additionally, control over the building's thermal inertia and insulation ensures a sustainable passive operation, while offering a stunning view of the Nabaa el Jawze valley and lake.
The project is situated just 50 meters from the lake, providing residents with the opportunity to engage in various activities, such as canoeing, kayaking, diving, water skiing, fishing, and even exploring the St. Antoine le Grand church, much of which is submerged underwater.
Each house features two covered parking spaces and a garden whose size varies from 535 to 700 square meters, depending on the location and selection of the house.

Residential bio-climatic houses, located on a steep sloped terrain, integrated in the environment by burrying the houses, hiding them in the terrace farms of the hill.

Rive Gauche spans across 5,800 square meters of lush, green terraced hills, is inspired by the surrounding environ and troglodyte architecture.

It is fully incorporated in the landscape with respect to the ground level, glass exteriors and planted roof surfaces running the length of the structure.

A sloping terraced landscape and minimalistic approach guarantees utmost respect to the environment with hands-on rural experience and atmosphere.

Each house is composed of two stories and provided with two parking spaces and a garden with an estimated area between 535 and 700 meters.

The use of bay windows maximizes sunlight in winter and air circulation during the warmer seasons.

They also ensure passive sustainability in terms of controlling and conserving thermal mass, apt insulation and airflow all the while offering a full view to the stunning valley of Nabaa el Jawze.

The project, allows residents to take up several outdoor activities including kayaking, lake fishing, diving, swimming and the exploration of visiting the Church of St Anthony the Great.

DESCRIPTION ​

Deux maisons bioclimatiques, situées sur un terrain très pentu de 5800 m2 orienté vers le nord.

• Le projet se concentre sur l'integration complete de l'habitat dans son environnement, en l'enterrant sur trois cotés, pour se dissimuler dans les terrasses agricoles de la colline.
• Inspirée des habitations primaires des troglodytes, l’architecture s’intègre parfaitement dans le paysage montagnard de Bekaatat Kanaan, en suivant le rythme des terrassements naturels présents sur le site, et en garantissant un respect total de la nature environnante. lass exteriors and planted roof surfaces running the length of the structure.
• ​L'integration de baies vitrées orientées sud, pour maximiser la penetration des rayons du soleil en hiver et favoriser la circulation de l'air frai en été, ainsi que le control de l'inertie thermique du bâtiment et son isolation, assurent un fonctionnement passif durable. Tout en offrant une vue imprenable sur la vallée de Nabaa el Jawze et le lac.  
• Seulement 50 mètres séparent le lac du projet, ce qui permet aux habitants de pratiquer plusieurs activités telles que le canoé, le kayak, la plongée, le ski nautique, la pêche… Et enfin, d’explorer l’église St Antoine le Grand dont une grande partie se trouvera sous l’eau.
• Chaque maison bénéficie de deux parkings couverts, et d’un jardin dont la superficie varie entre 535m2 et 700m2 suivant l’emplacement et le choix de la maison.
